ESRI JSON files (in the format of ESRI REST API objects) can be added once connected to a project folder. These files can be attained by converting from ESRI products, using the symbol playground, or you can use the download widget to convert a hosted feature layer. A string representing the file name of a file already used in the project can be used in place of an object.

This application uses a custom JSON specification to create feature layers. The tool below allows you to create a layer utilizing files that have been added to the project using the Add Files widget. For more details review the sample project.
